Incompetence

I paid up my car in 2011, but never received the cars papers. Last week I contacted the bank (MFC) to request the documents, since I want to sell the vehicle. They called me back yesterday claiming, they’ve sent me the papers back in 2013. They never informed me of this. When I asked which address they sent the paper to, they gave me a wrong address (meaning they’ve sent the papers to the wrong address, and never informed me). Now they tell me I must go get a copy of the registration papers, I found out today that that would cost R3000! They also claim the car is on my name, but I asked them who completed the registration, they claim it was me, but asking them with what papers, since they’ve sent to wrong address, the answer is, I must go get a copy….how is that on me to pay R3000, when they never gave me the original paper? I even went to the address they sent the documents to, the new business owner has only been there for 3 years.
