I cannot describe it
In February 2021 I surrendered a vehicle which was involved in an accident to nedbank mfc, signed the agreement, provided them with the panelbeater address where they were supposed to collect the vehicle. In June 2021 I then sent an email to the person dealing with my account to enquire as to how far they were with the process, but he never got back to me. After 6+ months of waiting I sent an email to their complaints department, again nobody responded, on the 20th of March 2022 I sent a follow up email, as usual nobody responded to it. On the 21st of March I then responded to one of their posts on Twitter and that's when I got a response, they called me the following day. Their feedback is that they decided not to sell the car, and it is still by they panelbeater, and I'm liable to pay around R34000 storage fee. According to the panelbeater the storage fee is about R84000. What I don't understand is why they did not inform me immediately when they decided not to sell the vehicle, as the agreement was between me and them, secondly why am I liable to pay the storage fee, when it's clearly their fault for the storage fee to be this high?
