Fince issues

So i wanted to buy a vehicle through MFC. After all the paperwork and forms submission etc they say sorry, we cant finace the car you want but we are willing to finance a model that is a bit cheaper. Now im not very good with these type of things but how does that logic work? Dont say risk, because risk is risk.
