False advertising on discount for Settlement

Subject: Misleading Settlement Offer & Poor Account Management – MFC Must Be Held Accountable

I’m writing this review to express my deep disappointment and frustration with MFC and to warn other customers about their misleading practices.

Recently , MFC offered me a 60% settlement discount on my outstanding vehicle finance balance. I was genuinely relieved — this offer finally gave me the chance to settle my account in full. I planned my finances around this offer and recently contacted them to make payment arrangements.

To my complete shock, I was told that the offer is no longer valid and that they are now only offering a 15% discount. This is false advertising and misleading conduct. It is unacceptable for a financial institution to make such promises to customers, allow them to plan accordingly, and then retract the offer without warning or explanation.

To make matters worse, I’ve noticed that MFC’s system does not even reflect my regular monthly payments accurately. Despite making consistent payments toward my account, my balance has not been updated correctly. Yet, when customers fall behind, MFC is quick to hand accounts over to attorneys and charge additional fees. This double standard is completely unfair and shows a serious lack of efficiency and accountability in their internal processes.

MFC needs to understand that customers are not just account numbers — we are people who plan our lives and finances around the promises they make. I request that this matter be escalated to senior management immediately. I expect a clear explanation for why the 60% settlement discount was withdrawn and why my account records are not properly maintained. I also demand that MFC honour the original 60% settlement offer that was communicated to me.

I hope this post helps other customers be more cautious when dealing with MFC. Financial institutions should be held accountable when they mislead and mistreat their clients.
