I have been trying to get finance with MFC, which has been approved. Due to their policies, I am unable to proceed with the application. Their argument, it seems, is related to insurance, not an inability to pay the finance agreement. I hold a valid international drivers license, which is not acceptable to them. My life partner does however have a valid South African drivers license. This however is also not acceptable since I cannot nominate him as the licensed driver, because we are not married. How does not having a South African drivers license prevent me from paying the agreed finance agreement? How is their concern about comprehensive insurance an issue, since I already have comprehensive insurance on another vehicle? My license is also fully acceptable under south african traffic laws.
