Disabled and Harassed by MFC

Attention CEO Michael William Thomas Brown and MFC Risk Manager Otto Seleka

I was granted a payment holiday for my vehicle loan with MFC for Covid-19 which I appreciate, however I’m still disabled and was diagnosed with a nerve autoimmune disorder which has left my feet paralyzed and as a result I cannot work, I am a small business owner with a good past credit record, however recently with my medical condition and the financial impact of Covid-19, I don’t have an income. I received a donation from family and I tried to make a payment of R1000 toward the car last week, yet still receive threatening calls from MFC daily wanting to take the car away or sell it because I will be blacklisted. Also MFC neglected to add on insurance to the car loan when I bought the car, which could’ve helped the situation I’m in because my disability and Covid-19 was unforeseen and beyond my control. I am harassed everyday by MFC about the car payment and I have to explain the same story to a different caller every time, I want to get better so I can get back to working and pay off the car loan but this additional stress does not help my medical condition. There’s been no success in complaining to MFC as they don’t care about my situation. I want to escalate this complaint to the CEO of Nedbank Michael William Thomas Brown and MFC Risk Manager Otto Seleka to handle this matter, perhaps they will consider my unique situation. In February MFC sent a debt collector to take my car away after I paid the double instalment in February, they came to my house after I just came out of hospital, under the false disguise of being couriers, they had to leave after I gave them proof of payment. The numerous complaints on Hello Peter show how badly MFC is treating and bullying their clients during this difficult time when many are struggling financially, I think they’re one of the worst companies I’ve ever dealt with, please do something about this, it is unacceptable.
