Dear sir / madam I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and growing frustration with your handling of my vehicle finance account, following the theft and recovery of my car on 28 April 2024. After my insurance paid R144,000, I proactively arranged with your institution to settle the outstanding shortfall of R21,000 through monthly installments of R3,000 — a repayment plan which I have consistently adhered to, without missing a single payment. Despite this, your institution has inexplicably listed my account under “adverse payment” status, negatively impacting my credit score and financial standing. This is both unjust and damaging, given: The account is up to date; A payment arrangement is in place and being followed; The original shortfall arose due to an insurable event outside of my control. This kind of reporting is not only misleading — it borders on malicious conduct and demonstrates a complete disregard for ethical credit practices and responsible customer treatment. I am demanding the following within 7 business days: A formal written explanation for the adverse listing; Immediate correction or reclassification of the listing with all credit bureaus; Confirmation that my account is being reported accurately — reflecting that it is not in arrears and that I am complying with a valid arrangement. If I do not receive a satisfactory resolution within this timeframe, I will have no choice but to escalate this issue to: The National Credit Regulator (NCR), The Ombudsman for Banking Services, and All major social media platforms and public consumer forums, where I will publicly highlight this unjust treatment and warn others of your bank’s conduct. I am fully prepared to make this matter public — and to pursue it through every available regulatory and legal channel if necessary. I trust that you will treat this with the urgency and seriousness it deserves. Sincerely, Zukisani Melane MFC Account Number: *** Contact: *** Email: ***
