Confused, need advice

Good day A few years back I was put under dept review after went for a consolidation loan, but never the less. My vehicle was also under the dept review and I started to pay my own depths, I then made an arrangement to pay MFC R1000 per month and it went well, till last month October 2023, where I started to get phone calls to say that I must pay the full amount or mfc will repossessed the vehicle, today 06 November 2023 I received an email from mfc where a gentleman named Fakude Philasande told me that if I don't pay the full installment of R3175.82 today my vehicle will be repossessed, I begged him to drop the installment a little but he refused to drop it, I begged him in 3 or so emails but he still refused. So, I then informed him about my payment arrangement of the R1000 and then he mailed me back by saying that the person I made the arrangement with did not put it on the system and only made a note about it and had to tell me that the arrangement will not stand, but what he can do is to drop the amount to R2000 for ten(10)months, so now I want to know why now? Who's fauld was this in the first place? And what should I do now because I asked for his supervisor to give me a call and he stop mailing me and I am still waiting on the phone call. Thanks
