COMPLAINT AGAINST MFC EXTERNAL DEBT COLLECTOR(CHEETAH BUSINESS TRUST)

I'm putting a complaint against an external debt collector for MFC(Cheetah business trust). On Monday, 16 August 2021 Connie Mphahlele came to my house at night telling me that she is sent by Mfc to do an inspection on my car, my husband was out with the car but she said I should bring it on Tuesday at their offices in Centurion.

We drove to Centurion for an inspection only for her to tell us that Mfc decided to take the car to a storage and she made it clear to us that it was not a repossession but mfc is keeping it safe in a storage until we pay the arreas of R5600 in full. I made arrangements on my side to make immediate payment of the arreas but they(Connie and Hendrick) said Mfc already booked for storage and I can only pay Wednesday morning.

Connie gave me a document to sign while in a hurry and said she had to rush somewhere and busy on the phone with mfc, she didn't explain the document and didn't give me time to read it. She only said it was for the inspection that I saw her do on the car.

I only found out today early in the morning after speaking to Bafana(MFC consultant) who adviced me that the documents they made me sign was for surrender of goods to mutual agreement due to affordability and I have to pay my arreas plus legal fees. None of this information was given to me by the Cheetah agents.

The agents(Connie and Hendrick) misled me in everything they did and said.
