Bad customer service

I took a shortfall cover with MFC then later on I got into an accident and informed my insurance they investigated while they’re investigating I informed MFC since I’m financed by them and I also have a shortfall policy with them to my suprise they send me a letter saying my shortfall policy has been cancelled, how because my insurance has not settled and I still need to claim for the shortfall cover????

You can’t close my policy without the matter of my debt being finalised? Whose gonna pay for the shortfall because my insurance will only cover a certain amount???

I called them and no one could give me an answer as to why my cover is cancelled after they had just deducted for August??
