Ashley Piers from Nedbank MFC is of NO assistance to clients
I have been with MFC since July 2017 with no problems This year , 5th November 2018 I resigned from my job and made an enquiry online on the 7th November 2018 as to how I can make arrangement for a few months to sort out my finances. I received a response on the 9th November 2018 from collections with details that if I can send certain documentation they may assist with a 3 month freeze , they also asked what my reason for resigning was and I made them aware on that same day and did not receive any response.
On the 12th November 2018 I mailed them requesting to know what documents I would need to send to apply for the 3 months freeze and they responded that I would need to send them my resignation letter and if possible supporting documents for my reason of resignation, I made them aware on the 23rd November 2018 after seeking assistance regarding supporting documents that I will not be able to send send supporting documents as they will compromise my privacy regarding reason for resignation. On the 27th November 2018 I then received an email directly from Ashley Piers, who is apparently Team Leader according to the signature on his emails, who asked just for my resignation letter ONLY, I made Ashley aware that I can provide the resignation letter the next day however I delayed to get it from the office and was able to forward as is, as I had sent it to my manager and team leader, I forwarded it the day after I had promised. There was no response from Ashley or anyone since that day (29th November 2018) so I assumed that's it and my freeze has been done. In life we all get caught up in many things I understand however Ashley went quiet for days if not weeks and I started getting worried as my debit order date is the 20th of every month, at the time I had already made payments for my November debit order, on the 18th December 2018 I emailed Ashley to find out what the outcome of the application for the 3 months freeze was and I received no response, I emailed Ashley again on the 19th for a follow up and I received a response to say that the manager has to approve and that an attachment was received from me that cannot be opened, why am I only being told after two attempts to contact you that you cannot open attachment from an email sent 29th November, which by the way did not have an attachment , I forwarded my email as I said before , Ashley kept insisting my attachment is blank and i forwarded the same email from November as is . I eventually had to resend it by highlighting the email in red for them to see it. Now that they see resignation letter there were new requests, request A: resignation letter needs to be on the company letterhead?!?!?!?! request B I need an affidavit if i can't get it on a letterhead, firstly please advise how I can use the companies letterhead to resign from their company and secondly why wasn't I given all documents requested when I asked in the beginning and told the terms and conditions or disclaimer?? Ashley then went on to ask if there will be funds in my account for the debit order for 20th December 2018 and I advised that there will not be any funds , hence i tried to make the arrangement. So in conclusion their solution is to let my debit order bounce as if I didn't attempt to make an arrangement and they will try to propose for a freeze for January and February 2019. If I knew that they cannot help me for December I would have made a plan to pay it and not have an unpaid debit order then had the freeze January to March 2019 Now I will reflect as non payer for one month and get a 2 month freeze ,that's if they even send my request through
I am appalled and disappointed in the service and attitude received, I wish I could attach my emails for you to see
