Approved for higher installment, but decline lower installment

I app**** for a vehicle at autopedigree and MFC approved me for the installment of R10 700, we had a disagreement with the dealer which i reported to the ombudsman and MFC is copied on the email that the Ombudsman has sent to the dealer, i decided to apply for another car at McCarthy Durban which is R100 000 less than the one i was approved for, but MFC is declined, saying that they can only approve me for an installment of R6 900 when last week they approved me for a monthly installment of R10 700. it does not make sense to me and since they know my story with the dealer i was buying from. i was expecting them to be reasonable and approve me since i am their client.
