Absolutely useless and pathetic

We decided to settle our account with MFC a number of months ago. We phoned in advance to get all the information required to settle. The consultants I spoke to were beyond useless. Saying that they were unhelpful is an understatement, they either did not know how to assist me or didn't bother giving me the correct information.

We visited MFC in Edenvale to see someone to get the correct answers. This woman was the definition of clueless, every question was answered with, "I do not know/I am not sure".

Long story short, I pieced together what I had to do based on all the different stories I had heard from the numerous employees I spoke to.

I sent a letter to MFC on 20 June 2017 notifying them of my intention to settle and to ensure that they would remove the debit order so I could settle the account without requesting a refund (obviously I cannot depend on these bunch of clowns to give me a refund). I was told that my letter was not sufficient. So I sent another letter, as per their requirements, on 23 June.

I phoned a number of days later, only to discover that the debit order had not been cancelled. I phoned in and told them to rectify this, only to be told "Ma'am the debit order must be cancelled 7 days before the debit order date". "Yes, as per the date on my letter and the email, you can see this was done 7 days before the date". Ma'am the debit order must be cancelled 7 days before the debit order date" in a continuos circle. So here I am inconvenienced by someone that did not do their job. And Refilwe, your lovely consultant, put me on hold and ignored me (Just FIY: try making sure there is no background noise when you ignore someone over a phone) when she couldn't answer my questions.

We spoke to someone by the name of Simon. We explained the situation to him and expressed our concerns about the debit order. He said we can request a settlement quotation, pay it and then reverse the debit order. Which we did do on 30 June 2017. Now we recieved an SMS stating that there is still an amount outstanding.

WHAT? We paid according to YOUR settlement quotation and now suddenly there is an amount outstanding? Go online only to find that we cannot view the account, cannot get statements, cannot do anything because the account is unavailable, not closed just unavailable.

You want money from us but cannot be bothered to tell us why? Now no one is answering the emails. Everyone is unavailable. This is absolutely disgusting!

Can I come and work for MFC so I can sit on my ass, do nothing all day long and treat clients like ****? Because that seems to be what all MFC employees are doing?

In conclusion, MFC is an absolute joke. Going out of my way, driving up and down, phoning, emailing and trying to get this resolved has been a total waste of time.

MFC has not once tried to assist me in getting any issue resolved. I have gone out of my way to ensure that this transaction went smoothly but all MFC has done is sabotage my efforts.

If you are thinking about joining MFC take note: It is all good and well when you join, but if something goes wrong or if you need any assistance from MFC they WILL NOT HELP YOU!
