A Vehicle sold without a spousal consent
I was dealing with an employee of Nedbank Thandeka Mcanyana with regards to a spousal consent that I had to sign regarding my spouse purchasing a car.I signed the consent but the deal didnt go through .A new car was then bought by my spouse 2 months(April 2017) later but i was not asked to sign a new consent and I only discovered on 19 february 2018 that my spouse bought a new car. I have queried this with Thandeka and her Team leader and they both advised a new consent was supposed to be taken.Thandeka then referred me to the MFC contact centre where I dealt with Oscar Guga and his team leader Kathlego Chacha who advised me that they cannot advise if I had a signed a new consent for the new bought vehicle. Talk about consumer POPI,why is my spouse being protected yet I am not.I need this matter resolved as I will not be held responsible for a car I didnt consent to.If this matter has to go to Murray Donkin then it must.I want Nedbak /MFC to confirm that they will not involve me in this purchase if my spouse cant pay for his car.
