266 days and counting......

Our vehicle has been in the pound now for 266 days - cost involved R 37 628.20!!!!

In August 2014 we tried to renew our vehicle license only to be informed that Nedbank is the registered owner!!!!! We had not received any letter or correspondance that this was going to take place and were still paying MFC/Nedbank at the time.

There has been years of correspondance with Clientele Legal also involved - and by the way - they were just as useless, and still we have no vehicle.

My children were using the vehicle to conduct their business and it was the only means of income for our family as my husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer with no option of treatment. My son was on his way to collect us from the hospital when the traffice department stopped him and impounded the vehicle.

We have been in contact with Nedbank every since and have been sent from pillar to post with each person giving a different view and new empty promises. Just when we think we have found someone in Nedbank that will be able to resolve this mess, a new person contacts us and it all starts again.....

We paid R25 000 to Nedbank on the promise from Grant Pitamber that they would sort this out - money we really could not afford to fork out but did anyway. We were promised that we would have our vehicle in no less than 5 days. This was on 29 July 2016. Then on the 23 September 2016, we received an email from Mr Jaques van Aarde of Nedbank after a phone call the previous day, asking for a letter stating what has transpired from day one. This was sent to him and our hopes were up as he was appalled that this case had taken so long to resolve. Well he has now given up and handed it our to yet another person, Mr Frans Mokwena, who calm and politely informed me to pay the impound fees so we can get our car back. And all we have been asking Nedbank since 2014 to re-register the vehicle in our name!!!!! Their failure has resulted in exhorbitant traffic infringements, pound fees and endless frustation to our family.

My husband was given a prognosis of 6 -18 months on the 6 January 2016. What do we have to do to make this vehicle nightmare go away so he can at least have peace of mind from that.

I wrote Nedbank a letter informing them of my intention to go public with this in 5 working days - they have not even afforded me an answer..... and I have a read receipt!!!!!!!!!!

From the very first day this vehicle was purchased, there were discrepancies in contractual workings but that is a way long story for another day.

I would just like to know - Are we such small fish in their large corporate pond that they just don't care about negative exposure.
