1 and a half months in arrears and horrible collections experience

I am currently 1 and half month in arrears with R2400, the lady who called me to make an arrangement (Karina) totally dismissed me and was rude when I advised her how much I can afford In addition to cover my arrears.

She then advised she won’t accept what I’m willing to pay as an arrangement and that she will put a not on the system.

Upon an exchange of words with her, this morning I woke up to a letter of demand with 10 days to pay.

I don’t think this is operating in good faith, especially because I never refuted to make a payment. My request was just to distribute the arrears in the remaining term.

I have constantly gotten treated like this by MfC each time I face financial trouble and for a vehicle I have less than 12 months to settle and have been paying off for the longest of time. I’m disappointed to note that this is the treatment we your clients are subjected.

I’m escalating this so you know I intend on referring the matter to the ombudsman - especially based on my interaction with the consultant who called me.
