Shocking service

<p>I left the moto healthcare scheme at the end of October 2016 and re-joined in February 2017 with a different employer. My previous employer sent the cancellation on the 25th October 2016, unfortunately to the incorrect email address (exact words from moto health). I tried to claim in February of this year only to get an email from moto health that my benefits have been suspended because they only recieved the cancellation from previous employer 1 month later. I have sent numerous emails asking for an explanation to which I'm told that because of the late notification, I am personally liable for R5,406-00 which was never recieved from previous employer, although they had sent the cancellation on time. I have explained that I had no personal control over HR sending documents from previous employer and requested an explanation as to how they can hold me personally responsible for an administration error between themselves and my previous employer. I now get informed that they will only lift the suspension if I sign an acknowledgement of debt to pay R1,000 per month over 6 months for a benefit i never recieved...... So typical of service in S.A.... What to do??? I'm pretty *****ed if a family member falls seriously ill or is involved in an accident!!!! The company I work for stipulates that I have to have medical aid, total contributions from both sides amounts to R6,620 per month.... but I cannot utilize the benefit.... ****ed off!!!</p>
