Amarok and customer service shocking
We bought a brand new Amarok from Volkswagen Mossel Bay a few months ago, not a cheap car but we were told that we wouldn’t get a better bakkie. Very soon after we bought it we noticed a burning smell and it then over heated. It spent a month in the shop and the hassle to organise a substitute car was immense, we use our bakkie every day to feed our horses. Now a couple of months later the same issue has surfaced and the bakkie is back in the shop, the dealership has offered us a polo as a replacement car (I hope they don’t mind us putting hay bales in their car) No one seems to be taking any responsibility for this as we are told by the dealership to phone customer services and customer services tells us the dealership has to deal with the issue. Honestly we wish we’d never bought the car and wish to return it, preferably for a Toyota! Volkswagen South Africa this is supposed to be a high end vehicle and it certainly carries a high end price, both your vehicle and your customer service and help in this matter are shocking. We can’t wait to get rid of this vehicle
