SUBMITTING CLAIM TO MEDICAL AID WHEN PATIENT HAS ALREADY PAID.

A month ago, I had a Ultrasound guided biopsy done at Morton & Partners, Kingsbury. I paid half of the account upfront with the agreement that I would then settle the remaining balance. Khanyi Sigingqi (whom I dealt with) agreed that it would not be submitted to my medical aid. A few days later, when I submitted my paid account to the medical aid, I found out that they had already submitted the entire account for R3500, the day after I had the procedure. The account was processed to be paid directly to Morton, even though I had already paid half. Since then I have sent numerous emails and made several calls in order to get my money back. They have confirmed that they received the payment from the medical aid TWO WEEKS AGO but they have still not issued my refund. Instead they tell me that my account is not in credit. This is ludicrous: they can confirm that received payments from both myself and my medical aid but still maintain that my account is not in credit and they cannot issue my refund. I have dealt with Charlene Van Rensburg; Sumayah Richards and Sandra Wentworth. They either don't respond to emails or simply give me the same illogical response. This is highly *********! I also see that this is actually something that they do frequently, I am not the first patient that this has happened to.
