Infected food

Around 2 weeks ago my husband bought 2 x 20kg Monte and Me at one of the big pet shops in Centurion. . We noted our Saint Bernard was very reluctant to eat the pallets. When I scooped some of the pallets to feed him form the one bag bought 2 weeks ago, I saw the pallets were covered with white spots. We threw away the bag which still had around 18kg of pallets. We opened the second bag, hoping it would not be the same, unfortunately it was. The pallets were not rotten or covered in white spots, it was infected with a fungus for it even started to grow on the cement floor where we give him his pallets (I took photos). Thus we had to throw away the second bag as well, in total R900 damage to our budget, in under 14 days!! Before these two bags our Saint Bernard dropped 20kg, lost a lot of hair. (Note, we have been buying Monte and Me for several years). We started to add additional nutritional food to try and up his weight again. After this horrible experience, we decided to change the brand of dog food, our Saint Bernard is our child, we cannot have him eat this kind of food.
