Very poor service and misleading sale

I was phoned by a consultant from Mondo who claimed to be calling from MTN. She told me that one of my MTN number was due for an upgrade. I then asked for her to proceed with a upgrade. She then advised me she will do a new contract. I asked if I will be able use my existing number if she does the new contract. She said that I can do a sim swap once I get a new sim card. I proceed with deal. I received the new sim card few days later, and I phoned MTN to try and convert the sim card to my old number. After many attempts of phoning MTN, I was told that it is not possible to do a sim swap on one contract number to another contract, and that the agent from Mondo had mislead me. On 2nd March, I phoned the Mondo Customer care to log a case about the issue. RCO112415. I didnt received any feedback from Mondo from 2nd March, until I phoned back today on 11/03/2021. When I phoned the Mondo customer care, i was told that the investigation was closed because I agreed to take a new contract. But no one bothered to phone about the result of the investigation.

Now i had to call MTN to cancel the contract because it already passed the 10 day cooling period. I have incurred an additional expense because of the misleading sale by the Mondo agent.

Very very angry about the service of this company. Any why do your agents say are calling from MTN...
