********* upgrade practices

On the 26/10/18 I was recently phoned by David Sumads from Buymondo an associate of Vodacom offering me 5GB top up on an existing contract for R199.00 per month which will be debited starting from month end of November and I was interested in the offer & then David confirmed that would happen as did the supervisor & he said to me that I have been chosen by Rewards department as a good customer which means I was upgraded to a platinum profile client and then I asked him if his not a **** he says no.

I repeatedly ask David that I don't want to be charged double instalment as I only agree to be upgraded to an existing contract and he says to me no mam this is an upgraded contract it will be one contract with the same cell phone number I will not give you another contract which has already happen & on the 30/10/18 I went to one of the Vodacom stores to ask them to check for me on the system as I saw an sms that I am being upgraded to a new price plan with the new number, whilst the sales person **** and deceive me to say that he will not give me another contract. And despise everything else I am very disapointed in the way the sales people are MISLEADING the customers to fall for it and not only that they are ECONOMICAL with the truth & I haven't even used the Wifi-Router yet as I am no longer interested in people who mislead their clients by wanting to get sales at our own expenses. David Sumads has mislead me on buying by not being transparent to me. I would also like to cancel the contract as I am no longer interested at your offer and once the contract is ending I will be in the process of moving to Telkom network and I feel that it not fair for me as your client. The estate agent that have been dealing with me seems to have forgotten that under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 he must disclose any pertinent information about the product his selling and he has provided misleading information which let enter into a transaction. I never would have done the upgrade early if I should have known that he will give me totally another new price plan contract and who is going to pay for it?Because I plan according to my budget so.This is really not a very ethical practice by vodacom, and it is very disappointing as a customer to be.

Very Upset!
