Mondo and Vodacom
A Vodacom contract was sold to me by Monday in April 2019, before agreeing to the contract I confirmed with the sales agent if there is any pro-rata fees involved and she said no i am only making my first payment of 169 the end of May 2019. I then received my first statement from Vodacom in the beginning of May showing I owe them almost R400 and I then emailed my complaint to Vodacom advising them I am not making payment on the account until they listen to the call recording for the contract that was sold me as I was told there won't be any charges my first payment will be the end of May for 169. I was then contacted by Vodacom but could never got hold of me as the agent called during prayer time (this was in Ramadan). I then emailed them back asking them to contact me at a more convenient time which I provided to them but still they called on their own times. On the 16 May Vodacom phoned me regarding the contract and I was under the impression it was about the email I sent to them but the guy was chasing me for payment threatening my account is going to be disabled because I am in arrears. The guy was insisting for payment after I explained to him the complaint I logged and i then escalated to a manager where I explained to the manager what has happened and she understood and this is when I found out that Mondo sold me the contract, she also advised me of and activation charge that I had to pay the next day and Vodacom has charged me R100 for an unsuccessful debit order they took in April and when I advised the manager I have not received any notification from my bank that they tried to take a debit order and she confirmed my bank account details the bank account they had was not my bank account. I also explained to her the sales agent did not tell me I need to pay an activation fee neither did the guy at the end of the call tell me of this, the manager then said that is the verifyer who spoke to me at the end of the call and he was suppose to advise me of this and i told her no one spoke anything of pro-rata fees and activation charges. I was then put through to the contract dispute team where the agent transferred me to Mondo and I spoke to a guy called Tyron. I logged the dispute with him on the 16 May and he said they would listen to the call and get back to me in 3-5 working days I explained to him that I was threatened my account is going to be disabled and gave him a time and alternative number to call. I spent a whole hour trying to resolve their mess-up. The 3-5 working days went by and I never received any sort of communication from Mondo and Vodacom disabled my account on the 24 May. I then called Vodacom and immediately asked for a manager and i was told the managers is in a meeting, the agent put me on hold for 15 minutes as she went to go get a manager and the agent then dropped the line. I had to call back where I spoke to a gentlemen travino and I had to explain the situation all over again and said I should make a payment on the account I explained to him I am taking this further because they messed up and now I have to be liable for there mess. I told him I will make a payment on the account and he said I must pay the activation charge, I asked him if I can make a payment in the store and he said yes. I went to the store and was told I need to make a payment by the bank as they are unable to pick up my account because it is a new account (I was yet again provided with the incorrect information). I called Vodacom again on the 5 June to ask if they received the payment I made of 169 and the guy told me no i need to send proof of payment to them so that it can be allocated to my account as it take a few days for the payment to reflect on their side as my bank takes long to release the funds to them. I then explained the situation to him as well and asked what the account is saying and if Mondo has contacted them yet and he said the account shows it is in arrears and Mondo has not made contact with them, he then also stated they (Vodacom) took a debit order on the 27 May and it was unsuccessful and then he still has a nerve to tell me this is going to affect my credit rating. After I told them so many times they have the incorrect bank account details. Today at 4:13pm I received an sms from Mondo that they tried to call me I should call them and provide the reference number for my call on the 16 May. When I called Mondo back and automated machine said they closed at 4 already will be open on Monday again. The time they claimed they called is not the times I gave tyron
