*****, Lying, Deception

I got a call from a MTN rep trying to sell me a new product. Telling me what an outstanding customer I am and because of my track record got selected for a very special deal. I cut the person short and clearly said that I am not interested in a new bolt-on service or device. The person carried on explaining that it is not. After listening to his sales pitch, I stopped him and asked him to confirm that he is NOT busy signing me up for a new contract. He confirmed. To not be rude I asked him to rather email me information about the promotion, for my perusal, and make a decision from there. He said he will...and carried on talking. What sounding like him reading terms and conditions I stopped him a second time and asked for the second time that he please confirm that he is NOT busy signing me up for a deal. He confirmed that he is not. I said I am done and not going to listen to him reading Ts&Cs to me. I'll look at the promotion material when he sends it to me.

Not even 3 minutes after our call, did I receive a string of SMS's and an email congratulating me on my new contract.

I had to call MTN today to lay a complaint and cancel the contract. They didn't help my but put me through to Mondo. The lady I was dealing with helped me quickly but could not tell me who the agent was and also could not send me a confirmation SMS / email that it was cancelled...I have to wait three to seven days. ***

Mondo, this is the second time that I have to deal with your lying and deceiving business practices. This is now the second time that I am going to refer you to the recordings made to me.

I see the reviews, and some of them are good. But I will NEVER EVER sign up or upgrade if I have to deal with Mondo. I'd rather go to a walk-in store, like I've done after the last incident. I would also advice friends and family to steer clear from dealing with you.
