false communication of porting

I was contacted by a gentle man by the name of Sean to take up a telkom contract. weigh out the advantages of data and all i agreed to take the 2 contracts 1 cellphone and 1 wifi. i was sceptical of giving out my banking details and i asked the gentleman to call again the following day to which he did. i have been using the same number for years and my only request was that i keep the same number. the gentle,an advised that it shouldn't be a problem, i should call back once i receive my package . i did that immediately and i was taken back by a consultant nicole who said they do not do porting. OKAY. she advised to contact telkom directly. OKAY. i CALL TELKOM. now i am advised by a gentleman by the name of Xolile to either go to telkom or purchase a new sim card and port and and and and and a lot of gibirish. I AM SITTING WITH A PACKAGE THAT I AM NOW SKEPTICAL TO KEEP. I am certainly not driving all the way to telkom and i am redundant on buying anyhting else from telkom.

"The beauty of what we do is that we call you and deliver straight to your door. No more waiting for hours in a store to get service!

We have a dedicated team for after sales support and customer care. If you need assistance, please contact us on ********** during work hours." this is nonsense i am sitting with a burden of admin. i have to drive 19,4 km to telkom mobile or purchase a new sim card. this is unfair and needs to be reviewed. honestly. i have no time for this, i wish i had but i just dont. i dont want to throw my toys out my cot - please with immediate effect
