Very inhumane service from Momentum

I have an annuity with Momentum which is paid up. There is a bit more than R18 000 still in my annuity with Momentum. During this Pandemic, causing me to loose absolutely all I had, I asked them repeatedly whether they can please help me and pay me that amount minus fees or penalties within reason. They said no, according to the regulations regarding these type of policies, they can only pay out when I reach 55 years of age. Now we, my wife and I lost everything we had and are going without a meal sometimes up to 3 to 4 days. These are extreme circumstances. There must be some exclusion in circumstances like these where they can make an exception to the rule? Do they intentionally want us to die or go hungry every week? It's surely not too much to ask of them? They have millions od customers. If they can find a way to pay out that money to me I can at least purchace a cheap vehicle and work for an income. Can somebody please assist me with this? I need to speak to a human not a human robot. R18 000 at this time can get us up from the floor. Is this request to much for them to consider? Can a human with a heart call me please?

Legislation governing Retirement Annuity Funds

In terms of the definition of  a Retirement Annuity under Section 1 of the Income Tax Act, no 58 of 1962 (as amended), members of a Retirement Annuity fund are prohibited from withdrawing from the Fund prior to the retirement age of 55 years except where the capital value is R15 000 or less. The only exception to this law is when a member qualifies for early retirement due to ill health, or if members who emigrate/emigrated from South Africa are then allowed to withdraw their funds prior to retirement provided that they are willing to pay the full tax on that benefit, and that the emigration is recognised by the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) for purposes of exchange control.
