Umbrella provedint fund
For more than a year I have been trying to get answers of what happened with my umbrella provident fund, eventually I was told my provident fund is still at momentum my last contribution to the fund was 2018-10-26. Then they put us on a pension fund but enyway long story short they moved the pension fund to mibfa. But not the provedint funds so after much struggle I found that the provedint is still with momentum. We are then told that we can claim the provedint. So now we are still waiting and every time we phone the call center the same answer is been given to us that the case is whit the liquidation team if been getting that answer for more than 4 weeks. No one can tell us why and for what purpose it is at the liquidation team. Please can eny one get back to us and explain what is the hold up. ***

I refer to our telephone conversation and confirm that the Fund is not going through a liquidation but a section 14 transfer from Momentum to MIBFA.
It is noted that our staff member did give you incorrect information and stated this as a liquidation. I apologise for the incorrect information provided. It has also been noted that we have received claim forms signed by the employer.
You are unfortunately not able to withdraw from the Fund as you are still in the employ of your employer and the proceeds will only be paid in the event of a resignation or retirement.
Our Portfolio Manager will communicate with your employer and confirm that no claims may be paid.

Thank you for the quick response it is aputty that the guys can't with draw the provedint funds. But at least now we have the answer to what is happening with our money. Please can you give as feedback when the funds are been transferred to mibfa.

When the transfer has been completed the employer and the broker will be communicated with and they will be in a position to revert to the staff.
