Take your money anywhere else, but Momentum
I don't even want to leave 1 star but, unfortunately I have to. I have been waiting since 30 October for Momentum to pay over my funds. Two weeks ago I was told my funds have been disinvested and the application to SARS takes a maximum of 2 days. I am still waiting and there is no response to numerous emails. If you are looking for somewhere to invest your money, take it anywhere else but Momentum.

02 Dec 2024, 10:47Which means "I have copied and pasted this response and nothing will be done". Momentum is clearly run by a bunch of completely *********** *****s who are happy to take your money within one hour, but take months to pay it back. I will be approaching the Financial Ombudsman today.

05 Dec 2024, 09:51After speaking to Eugenia Daniels-Africa on Monday, she assured me everything was in order and the funds would be paid by Friday.
It is now Thursday and still not even an email or SMS from Momentum.
I am currently holding on a call for her and been listening to music for 22 minutes.
The consultant has informed me the process is "stuck" and in the process of disinvestment, this after receiving the following email on 19 November from Eugenia: "You are leaving your employer and because of that your membership of the FundsAtWork Umbrella Provident Fund will end.
As part of the withdrawal process we have disinvested your assets and will apply for a tax directive from SARS. We will keep you informed on the progress."
Keeping in mind a tax directive takes two days and I was informed the tax directive had already been done on Monday. Now the whole process seems to be started over again.
So in short, nobody has a clue how to do their jobs and half the people say everything is in order and the other half tell you it's still being processed.
Still holding on after 26 minutes and counting.
