Riduclous fees

I contacted Multiply last month when I was unable to access the gym. My membership had been suspended due to a failed debit order. I asked them why I was not notified and they advised that my bank would need to notify me, not them.

I then asked what the o/s amount was so that I could pay it into their account and have the suspension lifted. They advised it to be R527 and could be done by forced debit order. The debit was never done and I contacted them again to rather supply me with bank details so that I could make payment myself. They then advised the amount owing was R1128?????? I asked how the amount had now more than doubled. They responded that because I did not attend gym often enough I was liable for the full premium. How on earth am I suppose to attend gym if you suspend my membership and dont even notify me of same??? This is ridiculous!

Thank-you for your resonse. I am however unable to gym the needed amount of times if my membership is suspended. The agreement was that I could pay the R527, which I was told could be taken by a forced debit. This was not debited and when I inquired about the bank details the amount had doubled. I feel that Multiply should be held liable for the balance after the R527 as that was the advised and agreed balance. Should you not concur, kindly contact me so that we can terminate the membership for myself.
