Retirement annuity

I canceled my RA with them and sent all requested documents by the 12th last month. Everytime I call to do follow up on the process I get the same response, they have been applying for tax directives since last week Thursday. I have a feeling that they're just taking me for a ride and this just frustrates me, cause I find it hard to believe that a tax directive can take this long.
