Relentless to pay claims

I have been diagnosed with dystonia in 2013. I have been a momentum policy holder for years. I didn't claim for this when i was diagnosed. That was the last thing on my mind and I forgot about the policy as my dad was paying for it.

I had surgery in 2013 for DBS. This help to prevent the spasms I get. I still get these spasms that prevent me from doing my work. This year I've been in hospital twice for these spasms. I've submitted a claim to claim for disability as my medical expenses are extremely high.

Momentum don't want to pay because i have the dbs and the battery can get adjusted when i get a spasm. They dont realise the cost to go to the neurologist to do this and i cannot do it every time i get a spasm.

I dont think it is fair to get a response like that. It is like telling a double amputee, you have prosthetics so it's ok we wont pay.

I've lost 2 jobs due to this. I have bad debt due to this. Trying to get out of the debt already hard enough and now more medical expenses.

They will only relook at my case with another medical report. The report wont change.

I'm having a spasm as I'm sitting here and just using my left side. I can barely speak but they won't care at all.

Pathetic service from momentum.
