Rejecting a valid claim with no valid reasons

On the 3-st of January 2016 I was involved in a life changing motorbike accident. In which I broke both legs, tore my ligament, broke my arm and finger. I was hospitalized for 3months and underwent 8 theater operations. I was discharged in a wheelchair and spent the rest of the year in rehabilitating.

Even after my discharge I had to return on 3 occasions for more surgery and as I write this report I have 2 more theatre operations to undergo with orthopedic.

I am a client of momentum and took disability provider; which covers total and permanent disability AND functional impairment. 70% or more of both Lowe limbs.

I broke my left leg and could not walk for 4months of which thereafter I had to wear a leg brace and learn to walk. Till today the leg is impaired and I still wear a brace. To show it has not healed I have been booked for a surgery on the leg in 2weeks time for a bone graft operation as the bone is not growing and the fracture is too extensive to self heal.

My right leg fracture has also not fused yet and my knee ligaments; internal, front & right have been so badly turn I have been scheduled for a ligament reconstruction surgery for November 2016.

My dominant right hand finger broke and I have also been booked for further surgery to rotate it so it is straight as it crosses over my pinky finger.

When I sent Momentum all my x rays, physiothe****** reports, orthopedic reports and also hospital files they said I was not injured enough to claim.

As a person who is still wearing braces, torn ligaments, plates in both legs and arm, limping, struggling to sit, stand, walk, cannot run and play any sport. This to me means I have abnormal motion, sensory loss and motor loss.

How then does a company that is meant to COVER in the case of an accident now deem it " not enough injuries " to a person who was 100% healthy and thereafter lost 70% functionality not enough ??? A decision taken without Momentum even asking me to go for their own assessment ???

i am utterly dissappointed in Momentum !! I now have to go seek legal assistance so that I as a premium paying client, proves that I am truly disabled since my accident.

Yes Momentum did contact me to explain everything. Meaning I have to go and get more information and supporting documents to submit to them. It's just demotivatibg that I need to run around, get everything from all these specialist whilst my insurer just sends an e-mail and or phone call.
I will start the whole claim process from scratch again, there is no alternative I guess
