Refusing to give me my policy documents

After I left my employer momentum canceled my policy. I have a claim with a new insurance company and they need details from my momentum policy.

Everytime I call I'm told that i can't get the details because I'm no longer covered. Due to this , my claim is sitting on rejected.. All I wanted was proof that I had cover , I'm sitting with 0 income due to Momentum. I was under the impression that you keep documents for 5 years after termination of the contract.

If this contributes to my health declining, I'll hold them accountable. Because how do you refuse to give me my proof of cover from when I was with you.
