provident fund ********

i had a provident fund with Momentum since 1995 as a mine worker at Lonmin.and i discovered in 2012 that money was claimed from my fund but never paid to me as i was not the one made the claim. i have been sent from pillar to post ever since , i have submitted proof from the bank that i ve never recived any amount from the schemme and records from SARS that they made calculations against the payout amount but never received tax payment from the schemme. Momentum do not have any concrete records to show that payment was done. they now claim that they do not keep records of more than five years so no records to back their story. i have also tok the matter to the provident fund adjudication but the matter was not resolved. my matter has been handled byThapelo Thango- ********** , ********** Momentum . reference no. PFA/NW/ ********** 1/2016/CMS

In November 2015 our Head of Legal Services responded to the employer representative at Lonmin - we would suggest that you lodge any further complaint you may have with the Trustees of the fund directly.
Despite our best endeavour, we simply no longer have any further records, as Momentum ceased to administer the Fund with effect from 31 October 2010.
Kind regards,

what do you imply when you say you do not have any records, my funds were with Momentum when a false claim was made, so if you say i make lay a complaint with Sanlam where are they going to get those records if they did not pay out the clsim? why does Momentum only have selective records that suits them, only a copy you claim is from the employer that shows that i signede for the money? where are the bank transfer proof? where is my application for the claim? i sent proof from the bank to show that no money was paid to me,,, and if you paid the money to me why did you not pay Tax man? i have been patient with Momentum m starting to get fied up. i will not rest until i get my money back

Any further complaints which you may have should be addressed to the Trustees of the Fund, failing which you may lodge a complaint with the Pension Fund Adjudicator.
Kind Regards
