Pension fund not paid out

My father died in 2019 even today Mometum has not paid my father pension funds, when we enquired we were told that the only reason they didn’t pay is because my father’s employer (PRASA)reported the matter after 18 months of my father’s passing.no further steps were taken is resolve the matter .
