No customer service at all

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. In one day I have been **** to, ignored, referred and blamed for the incompetence of this institution. The company that I was employed by has a Provident fund with Momentum and once I resigned (I gave more than 6 weeks notice), completed all documentation weeks before I left and sent that on to the broker (I left on the 8th of July). This was subsequently sent on to Momentum. I followed up and was told that because there was a payment made at the end of the month they can only start working on said claim after the 7th due to the recon of the payment.(7th of July). On the 18th of July I received an SMS to contact Momentum, which I did and they stated that the Tax Reference was not on the form. - I rep**** on the 19th via E-mail with Tax Reference number and received an E-mail in return stating that it would take 26 days (Not working days) to conclude the process. on the 15th of August I phoned with the reference number and got hold of a friendly lady by the name of Rosemary, she told me that she has two unresolved claims for my ref number, one from when I resigned in May and one that has not been processed...and then the round about started, I was referred to Bushi (Might have the wrong spelling), but could not speak to her because she is not at her desk; Brantley because she dealt with the issue from day 1....no answer she must be out (Now I get an e-mail on my phone while holding for Brantley....from Brantley stating that yes the case will be resolved in another 26 working day)....still holding, put through to Alles (Might have the wrong spelling) that indicate everything is in order we will pay the monies in 10 days (New mail from Momentum recalling the e-mail that was sent????), but there is no one that I may speak to as they are not at their desk and the manager has a day off and if I am not happy then I must log a call with the complaints department. I left my number in order for someone to call me back only to receive a call from a gentlemen saying that the process should be completed on the 24th of July.......still waiting for someone to complain to 4 hours later??

Further to my telephone call I wish to confirm as follows:

The turnaround time for a claim is 26 working days and currently we are still within the turnaround time.

You also mentioned that you are of the opinion that we will not assist you as you have stated that you want the proceeds to be paid to today.

If it was possible to make the payment today, we would have, the fund has gone for disinvestment and once this has come back from disinvestment (which is a turnaround time of 4 working days), we will then be in a position to apply for tax, this process takes two working days, thereafter we are required to do a bank verification and this takes 1 working day.

We will then be in a position to pay the claim.

I do confirm that there have been delays on our part as well as the fact that your previous employer also submitted a claim on Portal which has also added to the delay.

The delays on our part will be dealt with internally with the relevant staff members.

Regards

Sue
