My Raid cannot be surrendered, why?

Becareful of the fine print in the policy that is not told to you. My raid policies cannot be surrendered but cancelled. Only learnt this today. I will take it up further has to what's the difference with this raid verses no raid! Stay away from the insurance company who has now benefited years of premiums with no notice about policy details.
