Multiply 'Travel Desk' for flight discount
<p>My husband and I wanted to book a trip overseas recently. We decided to book through the Multiply travel desk as we qualify for 20% discount off Ethihad flights (being gold members on Momentum Multiply).</p> <p>We received ridiculous quotes that were much more expensive than booking it ourselves on Ethihads website. These expensive quotes included the so called 'discount'. </p> <p>The 20% discount that we were so excited about only applies to the more expensive flights, on the cheapest flight you get 10%. This 10% also only applies to the base fare, not the total flightcost which includes rates and taxes.</p> <p>In a nutshell, the '20% discount' turned out to get us R600 off a R15400.00 quote. I will rather book this flight privately on Ethihads website. </p>

I would like to confirm that the discount that is allocated on the quotation which you received from our Multiply Travel Desk is correct, as per the agreement between Multiply and Etihad Airways. I have attached the terms and conditions for your perusal.
I can confirm that our Multiply Travel Desk has explained that only a 10% discount will apply on the quotation that you received, due to the flights that you chose, which were quoted on the cheaper base fare (V class). It is with regret that I confirm that the discount is not app**** on the total flight cost amount, as per the agreements in place with Etihad Airways and Momentum Multiply.
We do take into account and understand your expectations on the matter however, as per the agreements in place, we are unable to provide you with further discounts on your flight costs.
