Multiply Safedays
Where to begin The Momentum app safedays is not recording my cycling to work but it is recording my driving in a car. So I gave feedback on the app. After a week without a response I complained in a few different ways and they responded. I was told
"It could well be that your phone does not get enough GPS pulses or accurate location tracking when you are cycling. The minimum requirement to initiate the journey needs to be 6,7 km\h or higher for about 500m uninterrupted."
the app is not recording my cycling because either the phone is not getting good enough GPS signal (The car will have worse signal than in my pants while cycling) or I am not driving above 6.7km/h for more than 500m.
I then recorded with strava on my phone the trip home and had an avarage of 21.1km/h with a max of 43.6km/h with 3km of cycling that never dipped below 15km/h. So I sent this to them and this was there response.
" I am going to refer this to our 3rd party company which we use for the telematics in order for them to double check on that information."

"The 3rd party have confirmed that when the minimum speed of 4 Km/h has been reached the phone will start to monitor if it should record the journey. There is various factors which is taken into account to start the journey, and stopping and moving again is not helping the journey to start. The main aim for the feature was to record vehicle journeys, with the exclusion incorporated to track train trips. Our aim with the SafeDayz is not to record journeys on bicycle, golf cart, aeroplane or boat."
I sent you a recording that does not go below 15km/h for 3km. How is this not recording anything.
I think they are lying. The app only start recording above 20 or 30km/h. I have tried this with more than one phone now with power saving off and I have even started the app before a trip. I even when so far as to keep the app and screen on for an entire trip.
P.S. I cycle on the sidewalk that is less than 2m away from the road I would take to work with the car which it actually records.
