Momentum Pension Fund ****

I resigned from a company that uses Momentum as their pension fund holder for their company. I resigned in July and served notice until Aug. Mid Aug i signed pension fund forms and agreed that id like to withdraw the tax free portion and transfer the rest to my new employers holder.

To my shock i received a call from Momentum telling me that i need to withdraw my money via the 2 pot system and that means im only entitled to R30 000 to be taxed.

How so because what im withdrawing is funds before the 2 pot rule came into effect, anyway what happened to "old money, old rules?"

As a result my process has not been processed as yet we are now approaching November.... It is quite clear that these fund holders are benefitting from the 2pot withdrawal system and they are playing with people. I will fight this until i get my money
