MOMENTUM Misleads Clients!!!

Momentum misleads clients. I have been a client of Momentum for 10 years. For the past 4 years I have been paying my life insurance premium in cash, I have been in arrears every now and again but NEVER let the policy go into lapse status. On 02 August 2018, I called in to enquire about my premium, arrears and due date. Something I do all the time. The service consultant advised me that by the 15/09/2018 I need to make a minimum payment or my policy will lapse. On 13/09/2018 Momentum manually lapsed my policy, they say" its because my policy has been in arrears and I don't have a debit order loaded". BUT I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR ALMOST 4 YEARS AND BESIDES MY DUE DATE FOR THE POLICY IS THE 15. THIS IS ABSOLUTLEY ABSURD AND CRAZY!!! IM SURE THE OMBUDSMAN CAN INTERVENE AND HELP OUT

Dear Mr Naidoo,

I refer to our telephone conversation. Unfortunately we are unable to reinstate the policy without a completed and signed reinstatement form. The reinstatement of your policy is also subject to the risk being re-underwritten.

We have dispatched an email to you with a reinstatement form. In the event that you would like to consider reinstating the policy, please can you complete and sign the form and return it to our call centre at ***.

Kind regards,

N D'Arch

My argument is that the policy was not suppose to lapse until the 15th as advised by yourselves when I made enquiry on 02/08/2018. I await reinstatement forms...
