Momentum giving the run around yet again!

We lodged a disability claim with momentum together with an income protector claim on a myriad life policy a few months ago.we were in touch with an assessor who was helpful but then went on leave and someone else is supposed to update us but we are still waiting.the income protector claim was declined since we claimed for dreaded disease and this was related to that condition.I dispute that as my cancer came through after that and how is my current osteoporosis related to my cancer? Secondly, we have had to keep providing Momentum with documents and we pay doctors cash each time we complete forms or get tests done which we don't have on hand since I'm on unpaid sick leave. I have sent through all documentation and it's been ten working days since the last documents were sent to them.it's a bit ridiculous that each time a document is sent in which is required by momentum we need to wait a further 10 days for feedback! We have sent numerous emails and called the call centre but to no avail.who is working on this case and why do they refuse to contact us? We have paid for this policy since 2006 thinking that I would have peace of mind should I get ill. Little did I know momentum has a delayed and slapdash approach to work. The consultant I spoke to admitted that I was being billed for the income protector when I should not be.I'm so frustrated with momentum and their lack of service.I'm sick on the other hand and not working and I still have to keep contacting momentum to process my claim for money of which I have been paying all these years. It's obvious that they have no idea what they are doing and lack customer service and professionalism.....very disappointing.

It's quite obvious you people don't even read or take anything seriously.I am the beneficiary on the policy and my husband is using my email address for communications as his phone was ******.he has updated this with momentum already.my complaint above states that we do not have access to email as I am currently away on leave.the email address my husband uses to communicate with you is one that has MY name in it as it is MY work email address he is using. Again, why are you not calling him?he is sick and you people are not only delayed in processing anything but also don't have the courtesy to even call your member back about his complaint but can accept his premiums.does he have to die in order to get someone to contact him from momentum? I am asking again to please contact your member on ********** 434, verify him if need be and provide feedback...not a stupid email because you are too scared to speak to him.he is waiting.this is really pathetic!we are no longer calling your call centre, waiting for an hour to speak to someone who then tells us our assessor will contact us and nothing happens. Nobody wants to swear you people but atleast have the decency to keep your client updated.

We were contacted by momentum and they were helpful. My husband has advised them that due to limited resources and his bad health i have been communicating with them on his behalf. We have sent in the last requirement last Saturday.my husband was advised it would take 2 working days for review.it's going on to the fourth working day. We are waiting for feedback.

We received payment but no one contacted us to let us know what the payment was for? when we made a dreaded disease claim 4 years ago we were told that if any other aims are made the policy will payout in full.we do not know if anything has since changed and a lump sum payment was received but is this for the entire policy or for the disability claim?do we continue paying for the policy?what is the way going forward?seems like a payment was made just to keep us quiet but no one cares to explain?

According to our records a confirmation letter for payment made as well as an endor*****t for the amendments made to the policy was dispatched and sent to the policyholder at *** on 10/11/2016.
We have arranged for both letters to be re-dispatched to the policyholder. Please contact your financial adviser for an explanation of the changes to the policy.

It sounds odd that you are sending information to an inactive email address. Natasha Holsworthy and Anne kritzinger were aware of this and obtained consent from the 'policyholder' and we're therefore communicating via my email address and telephonically to the client. This is due to the policyholders I'll health and no access to email at the time. we cannot contact the broker as the brokerage has since closed and no longer in business.are we asking for too much for momentum to explain to their client what the payout received was for? this is the worst customer service ever!

The confirmation letter and endor*****t was emailed to the email address that the claim was submitted under. If this email address was deactivated in the interim, Momentum would be none the wiser, and the onus would have been on Mr Appalsamy to provide Momentum with new details if his email address had changed. Obviously, unless you inform Momentum of new details, we will not be aware that the incorrect address is being used.
The alternative email address that we have on record for Mr Apalsamy is ***. The confirmation letter and endor*****t was dispatched to both email addresses that we have on record for the client. If this is still incorrect, You will need to contact our call centre so that the relevant security checks can be done and the new email address updated on our system so that we can dispatch the letter and endor*****t again.
