Momentum Funds At Work not paying when promised
I app**** for the funds on the 20th June to have the funds paid over by no later than 25 JULY to cover my extra expenses that would inevitably have to be paid in order to travel from my home to my new position in Johannesburg. NO ONE at Momentum is willing to take ownership of this matter and resolve the matter. If you placed yourself in my position, you have to ask the question, how would you feel and how would you react if your salary was paid in 9 working days later or 13 normal days later? What would the implications and consequences be of such an action?
To recap what has transpired so far: I handed in all relevant documentation on 20/06/2019
I then contacted FundsAtWork on 10/07/2019 to confirm that all was in order with this paperwork, they confirmed and informed me that payment would take 26 working days from date of application to process
I contacted them again on 26/07/2019 (27 working days later) as no payment was received. Only to be told that payment has not even been loaded yet, but they would send a note to the person doing this to urgently load the payment as the 26 working day deadline has come and gone
I contacted them again on 29/07/2019 (28 working days later). To be told that the payment would be loaded that day. I contacted them again on the morning 30/07/2019 (29 working days later). To again be told that the payment would be loaded that day.
I contacted them AGAIN on the afternoon of 30/07/2019 (29 working days later). To again be told that the payment was loaded and is now in authorization and it would be paid out before the end of the week. I spoke this time to a gentleman by the name of Hilton who was very arrogant and rude over the phone. When I told him that this delay is not acceptable and that a complaint will be lodged with the Pension Funds Adjudicator, his words to me was “Sir you can do that if you like”.
Today, Friday 02/08/2019 (32 working days later), I was informed that it would be ANOTHER 3 working days, as stated earlier this is unacceptable. Unfortunately I had to speak to the same rude agent, Hilton, again.
Today 06/08/2019, I called them again only to be told that a TAX directive has been app**** for AGAIN, WHY has this been done??????
Kind regards
