MOMENTUM BAD SERVICE , WHEN YOU PAY TOO LONG!!!
I had a Funeral policy with Momentum gfor almost 5 Year i have been paying an amount of R330 FOR A FUNERAL COVER of only R20 000 for myself , Mom and Dad Recently they have cancelled my policy because i missed a payment during lockdown , i ahve asked if i can pay the arreas amount in full , they told me i have to restart the policy from start and wait another 6 months to be covered . I have been with them since 2016 , i had a cash back of premiums to be paid back soon with my 5 years with them , however they didnt want to hear anything , i mean i have paid this policy for almost 5 years , looks like the moment you close to enjoying a benefit they either start not to deduct so your policy can lapse or they just allow it to lapse without taking anything into consideration. Im so DISAPPOINTED with this , now i had to take other funeral cover out at my bank , where i pay the same amount of money for R50 000 COVER for me and my parents plus my wife for R100 000 for just a R100 more. So bad was Momentum with the MYRIAD policy i had

The third lapse of the policy occurred effective 01/05/2020 (May and June premiums returned unpaid), you contacted Momentum to enquire on any arrears. The service specialist confirmed the policy reinstatement requirements but also confirmed a reminder that the 6 month waiting period for death by natural causes would start all over again. (The same clause is stated on the policy contract – see page 10 of 10 excerpt provided below)
- On all 3 lapse occurrences, the policy premiums unpaid reasons were: not provided for.
