Momentum aiding in *****
I have terrible experience with Momentum. JJ Van Wyk who is the broker for my husbands pension fund from Sala was invested to momentum before his passing (previous broker was Kanylen ****). When I enquired about the funds because I did not get my 50% of his pension fund, JJ Van Wyk was rude and did not even want to speak to my lawyers. I feel momentum helped a *****ster to take my share and give it to an illegitimate beneficiary (Mamsie Kananga). We were married in community of property and had the letter of authority from Masters Court to his estate but momentum did not want to sort this matter out. They ignored my emails and phone calls. May momentum please clarify how someone who is not even family to my husband can have access to all his pension fund without any proof of relationship. Not even his kids got anything from their fathers estate.
I am heartbroken and disappointed that Momentum would allow this transaction without any due diligence according to South African law.
We have escalated the matter to the fund manager for assistance.

The fund manager tried to contact you in order to ask for more information as they could not trace any information for your late husband.
Please can you confirm where he was employed, the company name.

I called the fund Manager Sue Du Plessis, she responded to me with a dismissive tone and mentioned that she could not find information about the funds, But what is puzzling is one of the momentum branches was able to find information and the claim form that momentum received the funds in Feb-March 2023 and when he passed away in April 2023, momentum consultants denied knowledge of this transaction.
My husband worked for SAPS and when he took his pension fund out from Sala and he invested it into momentum.
May you please assist me with clarification about this matter.

The Fund manager confirmed that they are unable to trace any information for your late husband and ask that you email the documentation to them for further investigation.
