Locked into a RA with minimal returns and high admin fees

Think twice before you take out a Retirement Annuity. I have been paying for 21 years on a RA and this has been my experience. The growth on the RA's are minimal. Once you have signed in you cannot withdraw and the fees keeps on growing. Financially I am battling at the moment so have no choice. I can reduce or make the RA paid up. 4 more years before I can draw on the policy. However I have two options, reduce the premium to R250 per month and that will give you less than R25 towards the capital in a month as the monthly admin fees are R225,48 per month. Make it paid up and then the capital will be reduced with the admin fee of R225,48. I have had to make no less than 3 phone calls to get this info out of Momentum. I asked for a broker to phone me as no broker has contacted me in 15 years to determine the estimated total value of the policy in 4 years time. This seems to also have fallen on deaf ears. They are just not interested as you are locked in. Not sure where else to move it to.
