INVESTO POLICY

I have a huge complaint and concern regarding Momentum. I took out an INVESTO policy in 2012 the policy is supposed to run for 10 years. In my mind this is an investment policy which if a need arises I can cancel it at any time and get my money back, obviously they will minus all the relevant fees. This morning I called in wanting to If I can cash in the policy and get whatever it is that I have paid in so far be paid back to me. To my surprise I am told that yes the premiums can be stopped however I can only get in what I have accumulated next year on the policy anniversary date, by then the policy would have been five years running. I was further advised that this is in the policy document. My argument is this is my money and I have a financial crises, why am I restricted regarding my own money? It does not matter whether I signed the contract or no, this particular information was not mentioned to me when I signed up, otherwise I would not have taken this policy. I feel that MOMENTUM is a ******* and they take advantage of the people who do not have the knowledge and some of their clauses should be explained thoroughly to us the consumers. This is my money and I need it URGENTLY
