I took a life cover with Metropolitan,,which I think was sometimes in 2006, the policy was paid through bond

I took a life cover with Metropolitan,,which I think was sometimes in 2006, the policy was paid through bond.I received a call sometimes in July that Metropolitan will no longer be taking money from the bond as they were running a certain project and monies will have to be debited directly from clients' bank accounts,,a form was sent to me, which I filled and submitted, to my surprise I received an e-mail today indicating my policy has passed due to non-payment. This is frustrating as Metropolitan never communicated with me on the process they engaged on with the bank, submitted the form as requested and now they are cancelling my policy. I can't loose the money I have been paying for so long over negliegance from insurance side
