Empty promises
My husband passed away on the 18th January 2016 he was a member of Cape Joint Retirement Fund and upon his death we (his beneficiaries) were supposed to received some monies from the fund. We submitted all the necessary document and the board of Trustee made a decision about the settlement on the monies in November 2017 and upon communicating with Denise Dyer on the 14/11/17 he/she explaining about the approved allocation by the Board of Trustees and further more explaining what the next step will be. I then took it upon my self to contact Fatima Armien on the 28/11/17 to find out about taxation and the actual settlement, I didn't receive any response from the email I sent to her. I sent the email again on the 04/12/17 and I didn't receive any response again. I made several calls to her office without any reply, the only time I received a reply from her office was the 12/12/17 and I was told she was on leave and no one could assist me. I tried calling again on the 09/01/18 and received the same response that she's on leave and again on the 18/01/18 and the phone was just ringing.
I wrote an email again on the 19/01/2018 telling them about my disatisfaction of the way my husband's death claim is being handles, then a lady by the name of Desiree Morreira who is a Operations Manager send a reply apologising about the whole issue and promising that she will handle the matter and that I should expect the death claim to be paid by the end of that week.
It's now been 2 weeks ever since the promised was made, it has been 14 months since my husband's passing my children are solely depending on me and I'm really struggling to cope. I haven't paid school fees, haven't bought any stationary and I was hoping the monies will come in time to cover all my expenses.
I've been receiving nothing but promises from momentum no one is even considering how we as the deceased family are coping, the monies are being held by momentum for no reason whilst we're struggling to make ends meet.

Best regards,
I refer to our telephone conversation. Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay. As discussed we have app**** for tax and this was declined with the reason either incorrect ID or Tax number. You have confirmed that the ID number is correct and we have requested confirmation from the employer as to the tax number.
As soon as we receive a directive back from SARS, we will be in a position to pay out the claim.
Kind Regards
