DELAYED CLAIM

Can someone please let me know how long it takes to process a withdrawal of the provident fund. I spoke to a consultant and was told that it would take 6 days to process. I sent all requested documentation on 4/4/2018. I have since not heard anything. When I called, I was told that my claim was PENDED awaiting a contribution for April, I left my previous employer in March. I phoned AGAIN, and SURPRISE SURPRISE the guy asked if I’m following up on my contribution!!!!!???? When I had previously discussed this with another consultant, she said she would send a request to the claims handler to process the claim. I am told that the request to process my claim WAS NOT SENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And that he will send the request. I call AGAIN to find out if this request to process my claim was sent. The last consultant tells me that the request was sent and that it should be finalised NEXT WEEK FRIDAY!!!!!! It has been 5 whole days and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING has been done on my claim. I requested a call back this morning from the claims handler. AND THEY DIDN’T BOTHER TO CALL OR EMAIL ME. My claim has been delayed because someone decided to PEND the claim with no real reason. I have wasted my time and resources to get your consultants to do their job. If this is how you treat your customers. It is pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Day

Your enquiry has been sent to the administrator of the Telesure Fund who will revert back to you and confirm how far your payment is.

The turnaround time for a withdrawal claim is 26 working days. The claims process can only start once we have received the premiums and the employer has until the 7th of the month to submit the recons. This is standard procedure. If you left at the end of March then the claims process will only start after the 7th of April. This is to ensure that the deductions made for your pension are invested.

We obviously do our best to ensure that the claims ae paid out as soon as possible.

Regards

Sue

Best regards,

Hi Sue. Thank you for your feedback. You note that the process would start after the 7th. I called on the 10th. If someone had bothered to advise me on the 4th or the 5th when I submitted my documents it would have set my mind at ease. So you OBVIOUSLY don't have the customers interest at heart. I look forward to whoever is supposed to call me. But I won't hold my breath since clearly Momentum does not have phones to call their clients. Thank you kindly
